Description
Crispy fried plantain chips are a beloved Cameroonian snack. Thinly sliced plantains are fried until golden and crispy, perfect for munching.
Ingredients
- 4 unripe plantains
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Optional: cayenne pepper
Instructions

Peel plantains and slice very thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.

Soak slices in salted water for 10 minutes.

Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.

Fry plantain slices in batches until golden and crispy.

Remove and drain on paper towels.

Season with salt and optional cayenne pepper while hot.
